With the gradual decline of the conventional enterprises, “Knowledge” and “Technology”, in addition with “Information”, “Connection” and “Communication” will become the essential keys leading the modern industries to success in the near future.
Successful development of modern
economy is derived from the long-term accumulatively increases in-productivity. The
none-limit
accumulation and effective application of knowledge are the fundamental
sources for productivity and sustainable growth.
In
the recent decades, the technologic revolution carried out by advanced
information and communication technologies, has thoroughly changed the
living and the manufacturing styles of mankind.
In the 21st century, these technologies will also become the key factors
influencing the establishment and sustainable maintenance of an enterprise.
Today,
with knowledge as the essential basis,
the economic activities are obviously playing a crucial role in innovate
the format of global economy development.
Knowledge has indeed become the principal momentum behind the
productivity and the economic growth.
Along with the rapid development and intensive application of
the information and communication technologies, the future investment,
establishment, employment, and management of an enterprise will
obviously be drawn to industries with clustered knowledge network.
Knowledge and technology will surely become the basic source of
competition for the future enterprise activities.
In
order to meeting the globalizingl trend of “Knowledge-based
Economy”, and to react on the key principles of national economic
development plan: “Challenging the 2008”, as well as, to follow the
mission declared in the current national water resources policies;
namely “to emphasize equally on both reclamation and consumption
of
water resources”, and “to give attention to both ecologic
conservationand water
resources exploitation”,
the Water Professions Enterprise Information and Incubation Center
(WPEIIC)
has therefore established. It
established
on December 23, 2002 by the subsidization of Water Resources Agency,
the Ministry of Economic Affairs along with the National Cheng Kung University
at The Tainan Hydraulics
Laboratory.
Functioning knowledge-based economic development to serve as the major axiom, employing the integrated resources contributed by industries, public agencies, academic and research institutions, WPEIIC is expected to multi-dimensionally assist the water professions enterprise to turn into knowledge and technology; promptly gather the water professional technologies as well as the professionals from all over the world; commence the services for the water professions related enterprises; turn the traditional water professions resources into e-database, and also construct the technology exchange platform. Namely, to promote the innovated water professions enterprise, as well as to initiate the renovated water professions enterprise.
Founded on the Knowledge Management; with Men, the Knowledge Bearers; the Enterprises Integrate the Water Professions Knowledge and Technology; Enriched with Communication Technology; and Operated by Sharing.
